Peter Mayle wrote the best selling book
A Year in Provence, in which he tells of moving into a 200 year old stone farmhouse in Provence. We had about ten days in the Luberon in Gargas, Gordes, and Avignon.
Incredible food, warm gracious friendly people, ancient buildings, ochre soil and glorious light.
Did I mention the beautiful light?

Karen, This is gorgeous, wonderful, you must have melted into Provence.
Thank Susan. The light was pretty intense and the shadows too! Loved the clear air with no humidity!
You have just upped the incentive to make a trip (extended would be nice!) trip to Provence. You captured the light beautifully.
We have some amazing Pink light here in Pa... will have to get you painting out here!
What a wonderful feeling you have portrayed . It brings back memories of my recent trip to Provence. Now I want to gun back. Great job.
