Beach Memory Chair
starfish, shell and water
Warm golden sand, sparkling blue water and the sound of ocean waves. Children laughing and playing on a gorgeous day at the beach. What is your beach memory?

I had so much fun creating this Beach Memory chair that will be auctioned off at the 3rd Annual Musical Chairs Project fundraiser on March 2 from 7 - 10 pm at the Doris Bardon Community Cultural Center at 716 N Main Street in Gainesville, Florida. All proceeds will support and enhance our public school elementary art and music programs through Friends of Alachua County Public Schools.

Framed in sunny gold this Beach Memory is my 11" x 14" original oil painting of a little girl on the beach. This chair also includes flip flops, shells, beach toys and a colorful blue and aqua beach towel AND if you listen carefully you will hear the ocean and shore birds..
Wouldn't this chair be the perfect addition to your daughter or grandchild's room. A wonderful reminder of a vacation day you spent together.

Preview this chair and 26 other delightfully created chairs this Friday, February 24 at ART WALK at the Doris in Gainesville, then attend the fundraiser on March 2 and place your bid in the silent auction. Hope to see you there.

Love the painting of the child on the beach and also the accessories. We paint the chairs and call it a chairity auction. Do hope the schools make lots of money.

Jerry love the idea of your "chairity" title.
Have to tell you that when I was given the chair and told you can do anything you want design wise I immediately fell in love with the beautiful gold tones of the oak in the chair and didn't want to cover that up!
Whoever makes the winning bid can sit down in this sturdy little chair and look at the Beach Memory painting hanging on the wall.
You name was mentioned several times in ATL last week as the inspiration, good friend and wonderful artist hat you are.

Maria so glad you like the presentation. There is a fish design in the towel and I found little toy beach fish for the sand pail. Hopefully someone will think of bidding for a grandchild. And let me tell you it is one solid oak chair heavy!

Hey Dottie thanks for your comments. I missed you at breakfast this morning...!
You should hear the beach sounds...as someone who lived close to the ocean I know you would appreciate my techno skills. Hey we could create an app for that!

Suzanne and Nora so nice to meet you through my blog and I SO appreciate your comments. Over the years I have made several donations to various charity events and one is for arts education. Nora I did not even realize I was a DPW pick. How exciting.

I just love what you did with this whole concept. Just a perfect vignette that sets off the gorgeous painting perfectly! Those waves are just calling and the sky is gorgeous! Wonderful job on this Karen!
