This rose is painted for my parents who celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Feb 13th, 2011. What caring and loving people they are. What a role model they are and have always been. Love you Mom and Dad!

68th!!!! Wow, what a fine example! And how sweet that you are dedicating this lovely painting to them. Love the soft edges - so hard to do! Congratulations to them!
It's lovely, Karen!
A lovely painting and the perfect gift for the occasion.
Kelley,
They have heard all about our Atlanta adventure. I'll tell them you sent your anniversary wishes. With the last name of rose can you believe this is only the second rose I have every painted. Go figure.
Monica,

Take care. Miss y'all:)
It's a beautiful painting and a wonderful post about your parents.
I wish them many more Happy Anniversaries!

Your description of fragile is so true. I have often wondered why such a beautiful flower has thorns.
Mary,
Thanks, I will be seeing them today and will pass on your well wishes. They are a special couple.
