This rose is painted for my parents who celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Feb 13th, 2011. What caring and loving people they are. What a role model they are and have always been. Love you Mom and Dad!

68th!!!! Wow, what a fine example! And how sweet that you are dedicating this lovely painting to them. Love the soft edges - so hard to do! Congratulations to them!

Kelley,
They have heard all about our Atlanta adventure. I'll tell them you sent your anniversary wishes. With the last name of rose can you believe this is only the second rose I have every painted. Go figure.

Jerry,
Yes my mother just loves flowers and roses in particular. You are so kind to stop in and see what I am up to. I'm ready for another workshop, how about you we had so much fun.

Your description of fragile is so true. I have often wondered why such a beautiful flower has thorns.
