Finding That Peace

Finding That Peace

Available Village Arts Framing and Gallery

What are you looking for?

Asking that of a friend the other day gave me a gift.  Her answer was "just a bit of peace and I find that in your paintings." What a compliment!

I am drawn to painting the atmosphere and mood of the landscape. Those transitions in the day when the light just begins to come up over the horizon or that last glimmer of sun glows in the distance and I am so honored when someone relates to my tonalist paintings.
This painting, Finding That Peace, will be on exhibit at the Winter Evening Artists' Open House this Friday and Saturday Jan. 25 and 26 at Village Arts Framing and Gallery in Sawgrass Village in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

Hope you will stop by the gallery. I would love to talk with you about my art.
Peace.

So very pleased to be invited to exhibit my original oil paintings at Shaffer Gallery in our country's oldest city, St. Augustine, FL.
In the Quiet is an early morning marsh vista, when the air has a hint of dampness and the Florida morning barely lets the sun peek from behind the clouds..

Shaffer Gallery is charmingly petite but filled with gorgeous original oil paintings and beautiful art glass. Owner Rebecca Shaffer and her husband have styled the gallery with the ambience of a 19th century art salon.

Shaffer Gallery opened in October of 2014 and is in the uptown San Marco section of St. Augustine in the same building as Les Petits Pleasures French Bakery (can't you just smell  the fresh baked croissants and macaroons) and just down the street is the restaurant
Le Pavillion specializing in French, German and Swiss cuisine.

Their address is

Shaffer Gallery
35 San Marco Ave
St Augustine, FL 32084

hours Wed - Sat 10 - 5
Sun 11-5
(by Appt. Mon - Tues)

The art and antique dealers in the area have an Uptown Saturday Night event that is held the last Saturday of the month from 5 to 9 pm.
Parking is available street side and at the Mission of Nombre de Dios parking lot. The Mission is located on 27 Ocean Avenue, St Augustine.

I'd love for you to visit the gallery and when you do tell Rebecca I sent you!
