Ponte Vedra Beach, FL

The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach has partnered with the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, a multipurpose performing arts facility, to offer the Cultural Center Annex Gallery, an exhibition space dedicated to featuring the Cultural Center’s talented Artist Members through solo exhibitions of their work.  The new gallery provides the unique opportunity for concert attendees to view and purchase local art.  One goal of the Cultural Center is to encourage and promote artistic growth and professional development, and to create a forum for the arts within Northeast Florida.  With help from accomplished arts venues like the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, the Cultural Center is able to expand the vision of local artists by providing another opportunity to promote and sell their works.  This marriage between the visual arts and the performing arts will create a more vibrant atmosphere for those who attend the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, which is host to amazing performances by well-known artists.
All works exhibited are for sale and  can be viewed during regular business hours, or during events and performances at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.
Cultural Center Annex Gallery Hours: Thursday - Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm, Saturday 9:00am - 5:00pm  (Call for availability outside of regular hours.)
Check out the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall's amazing line up of performing artists and be sure to get your tickets for Hip Harp for the Arts, a special fundraiser for the Cultural Center's Music Therapy Outreach Program.  Purchase tickets here

High Springs Art Co-op
High Springs, Fl
on exhibit through September

Here's a peek at my featured artist exhibit at High Springs Art Co-op in High Springs, FL.
The opening night was so much fun and I appreciate each and everyone that came out on opening night.
There are 18 paintings, pastels and one archival print of mine on exhibit. This gallery is a co-op of talented friendly artists and so enthusiastic. What a joy to be there.
The gallery is chock full of art and each artist has a wall space that rotates every several months. When you walk in the door you will immediately see the space for the Artist of the Month.
The gallery is hung in a Salon Style. Here's a rather interesting article about the history of this type of display: Salon Style

Chesapeake Dawn

Chesapeake Dawn, 8x10", oil on canvas
2009 Karen F. Rose
I
n my study and observation of times of day,
taking a second look at a small painting
I painted at a workshop in Maryland
seems like a good idea.
This early morning dawn scene is from
a painting trip to Claiborne, MD.
I stayed at Maple Hall, a wonderful bed
and breakfast near Easton, Maryland.
Brings back lots of memories.
I can hear the seagulls.
